What you are buying

Dearling is operated by Silvester Cekodhima, an individual seller based in Tirana, Albania. Payments and invoicing are handled by Paddle as the merchant of record.

You pay once. We build a small 3D version of the pet in the photo you send, put it on a private gift page at its own link, and hand you that link to send to whoever it is for.

Nothing physical ships. There is no address to enter, no delivery, and no app to install. The gift page opens in the browser the recipient already has.

What you do with it is yours: send it, show it, keep it, print the card. You cannot resell the dearling or put it inside something you sell.

Your dearling is made by AI

The dearling is generated by AI from the photo you upload. The photo is turned into a styled picture of your pet, and that picture is turned into a 3D model.

Nothing is sculpted, modelled or drawn by a person at any stage. What you see in the two portraits is what the model produced, and what you get after ordering is what the 3D step produced from it.

AI gets details wrong, particularly with very dark fur, unusual angles, or a pet that is partly out of frame. This is exactly why the portraits are free and come before payment, so you are never buying a likeness you have not seen.

We say this here, plainly, because anyone generating images this way should say so, and because you should know what you are paying for.

We only make animals

We make dogs and cats. We do not make figures of real people. That raises questions about likeness and consent that we are not ready to answer well, so we do not go near it.

If a person appears in the background of a pet photo, we work from the pet and not from them.

We also refuse photos that are not yours to use and anything that copies a character owned by someone else.

The photo you send

You confirm the photo is yours to use. If someone else took it, get their permission before you upload it.

It stays yours. Sending it to us gives us permission to use it to build your dearling, and nothing beyond that. We do not put your photo or your dearling on this site without asking you first.

Price and payment

Prices are in euros and the number is shown before you pay. One payment for one gift. There is no subscription, nothing recurring, and no charge you have to remember to cancel.

Payment is handled by Paddle, on their own page. Paddle is the merchant of record for every order, which means they are the seller on the receipt, they charge and remit the VAT, and their terms cover the payment itself. We do not see or store your card details.

Dearling is the one who builds and delivers the gift. If something about the gift is wrong, the paragraphs below are the ones that apply.

How long the gift page stays online

We do not promise a number of years, because we cannot honestly guarantee one. We are new, and a page that outlives the company is not something anyone should take our word for.

What we can say is that we do not put an expiry date on a gift link, and we do not delete one to make room. The gift pages stay up while Dearling runs.

If we ever had to take them down, we would say so in advance and leave time to save what you want to save.

If something goes wrong

Once you order, the build starts and the computing is spent immediately, so orders are final at that point. There is no change of mind window, and we would rather tell you that here than in small print later.

The exception is us failing. If the build fails and no gift reaches you, we refund the whole amount through Paddle without you having to ask for it.

We do not promise the service will never be interrupted. When something breaks we say so plainly rather than pretending it did not happen.

Getting in touch

A support address is being set up and will be printed on this page when it is live. Until then, this is a gap and we would rather name it than print an address nobody is reading.

Changes to these terms

If we change anything here we change the date at the top of the page. The version that was live on the day you ordered is the one that governs your order.
